Negotiation Workshop
4 hours to negotiate in English with confidence — from the opening exchange to the close, on all the configurations you actually encounter.
Overview
Negotiating in English is far more than translating your French pitch: cultural codes, timing, indirect politeness, weak signals — everything changes. This workshop equips you to run a negotiation end-to-end with international counterparts, whether the stake is a contract, a price, a deadline or a contractual clause.
Pedagogical approach
The workshop tackles the real negotiation situations you face at work: B2B commercial negotiation, internal negotiation (resources, deadlines, priorities), contract clause negotiation, objection handling. Your trainer calibrates the role-plays on your sector and your real stakes, helping you develop the linguistic reflexes that make the difference under pressure.
Skills covered
Each workshop targets the key skills of an English-language negotiation:
Frame
Set the objectives, context and non-negotiables when opening the exchange.
Argue
Defend your positions with the right phrasing, indirect politeness and nuance.
Handle objections
Acknowledge, rephrase, rebound without losing the thread — even when it gets tense.
Close
Lock in the agreement, formalise next steps and confirm in writing.
Methodology
The work is based on negotiation role-plays in near-real conditions, with a native or bilingual trainer who corrects in real time and decodes the cultural signals you might miss. If you also need to work on meeting management or presentations, take a look at the Meetings and Presentations workshops.
