Tests and certifications

A certification officially validates your level and makes it readable to an employer, recruiter or funding body. It is also required to use certain funding schemes such as the CPF, and remains valid on your CV with no time limit for most certifications.

The choice depends on your goal: showcase a professional level (TOEIC, CLOE, English 360, JobCert), assess or certify your French (Le Robert, DCL), prepare for an immigration or naturalisation project (TEF IRN, TEF Canada, Civic Examination), or aim for a European academic framework (Goethe Zertifikat). Our team guides you to the right certification during the initial assessment.

All certifications offered by Linguaphone are accessible from beginner levels (A1 on the CEFR scale) up to advanced levels (C1, C2). The right level to register for depends on the score you are aiming for. A positioning test beforehand helps calibrate the strategy.

It depends on your starting level and the gap to your target. The free initial assessment helps estimate the useful training volume and build a programme suited to your professional pace.

Yes, all certifications listed on this page are registered in the National Register of Professional Certifications (RNCP) or in the Specific Register (RS) of France Compétences, which makes them eligible for CPF, OPCO or FNE funding.

TOEIC, CLOE, English 360, JobCert, DCL and Le Robert are organised at our Paris Bourse, Mulhouse and Dijon centres. Goethe Zertifikat, TEF IRN, TEF Canada and the Civic Examination take place exclusively at our approved Mulhouse centre, authorised by the partner institutions.

All certifications can be retaken. After a first attempt, your trainer reviews the outcome with you, identifies the skills to strengthen, and builds a targeted remediation plan before a new attempt.

Preparation is based on an initial assessment, a personalised programme on the skills evaluated by the target certification, targeted practice on the exam format, and at least one full-conditions mock test before the official attempt.
