CPF 2026: what changes for language training

The decree of 26 February 2026 introduces a cap on CPF entitlement usage. Professional language training is now funded up to a maximum of €1,500.

To continue supporting employees in their language development, we have adjusted our offer:

  • 20 hours of English training: €1,603.20 incl. VAT
  • €1,500 covered by CPF
  • €103.20 mandatory personal contribution

Upcoming changes

Further measures are expected to come into effect shortly:

  • Mandatory personal contribution increased to €150 (currently €103.20)
  • Limit of one CPF-funded course per year

For HR / Training Managers

We support companies and their employees in setting up language training tailored to their needs.

Good to know: through the EDEF platform grant, you can exempt your employees from the personal contribution and support their professional development. Contact us to learn more.

Your CPF training budget

Every employee accrues €500 in training entitlements per year for full-time work. Entitlements begin as soon as you start working (including internships) and remain available until retirement.

The account ceiling is €5,000. For language training, CPF funding is capped at €1,500 since the decree of 26 February 2026.

This budget can be used independently, without informing your employer, provided courses take place outside working hours.
