Looking for a French course? Linguaphone offers two distinct pathways depending on your profile. French as a Foreign Language (FLE) is for non-French speakers who want to learn, progress or prepare for an administrative process (naturalisation, residence permit, immigration to Canada, university application). French as a Native Language (FLM) is for native French speakers who want to strengthen their spelling, grammar, professional writing or public speaking. Every pathway starts with a free placement test, is built one-to-one with a native or bilingual trainer, and can be delivered by video, phone or in person at our centres in Paris Bourse, Mulhouse or Dijon.

On the ground, professional French doesn't look the same from one profile to the next. A foreign executive recently posted to France isn't trying to learn more words; they need to run a meeting in French with their local team, to grasp the implicit signals of informal exchanges and to draft their first reports in the company's working language. An international student or recent graduate applying to a French business or engineering school works on academic writing, interview speaking and the vocabulary of their target sector.
