Founded in 1959, CIAL is located in Lisbon, in a neighbourhood that is both residential and professional, near the magnificent Edward VII Park. Lisbon is one of the few European capitals to be a seaport. Phoenician merchants called it Alissubo, the 'Delightful Harbour'. Lisbon is the capital of Portugal and today symbolises its modernity. From the imposing Castle of Saint George (Castelo de São Jorge), the view embraces the pastel-toned buildings of the old town, the Tagus estuary and the 25 de Abril Bridge.
