What is the annual funding cap with AKTO?

Caps vary by sector, company size and the scheme used (collective action, skills development plan, professional contract...). Rather than quoting a figure that wouldn't match your situation, your AKTO adviser or our funding engineering team will give you the exact cap once your IDCC code has been verified.

How long does an AKTO file take to be processed?

Typically 4 to 8 weeks between full submission and the funding decision, depending on the sector, time of year and scheme. Listed collective actions are usually processed faster than ad-hoc files.

Can OPCO funding be combined with the employee's CPF?

Yes, OPCO + CPF co-funding is possible when the course is CPF-eligible (paired with an RNCP or RS certification). Since February 2026, CPF involves a €150 employee contribution and a €1500 cap. Our team builds the co-funding setup to limit your remaining cost.

How far in advance should the file be submitted?

We recommend submitting at least 6 to 8 weeks before the desired start date, to absorb processing times and any back-and-forth with your AKTO adviser.

What happens if AKTO rejects the funding request?

Rejection is rare when the file is well prepared, but it can happen (envelope exhausted, out of scope, course not eligible). We review the reasons with you and propose an alternative: another scheme (self-funded skills development plan, FNE-Formation if relevant, CPF), redesigning the pathway to make it eligible, or rescheduling.

AKTO is the OPCO for labour-intensive service sectors. If your company belongs to one of the following branches, you can use AKTO to fund your employees' language training:

Temporary work and staffing agencies (permanent and temp staff)

Outdoor hospitality, hotels and restaurants, casinos

If you are unsure which branch you belong to, your IDCC code or collective agreement appears on your employees' payslips. Our funding engineering team can verify it with you upfront.

What training courses are funded by your OPCO?

Collective actions: training courses offered by the OPCO to meet the needs of companies and employees in the sector. They provide up to 100% coverage of tuition fees and simplified administration.

Negotiated agreements: exclusive preferential rates for companies affiliated with partner OPCOs.

Skills development plan: for SMEs, AKTO can cover all or part of the tuition fees according to your sector envelope, with or without co-funding.

All our pathways can be funded through AKTO, as long as they are paired with a recognised certification (TOEIC, Linguaskill, CLOE, Le Robert, TEF, Goethe-Zertifikat, DELE, etc.):

All pathways are available remotely (mainland France and overseas territories), in blended format or in person at our centres in Paris Bourse, Mulhouse and Dijon, plus our Levallois and Strasbourg outposts by appointment.

How it works in practice

Mobilising AKTO on a Linguaphone course works in 4 steps:

Scoping the need with your HR or training manager: number of employees, levels, language, business objective, target schedule.
File preparation by our funding engineering team: quote, training programme, level assessment, choice of exit certification.
Submission on AKTO Espace Formation and review by your adviser. The decision typically takes 4 to 8 weeks depending on the sector and time of year.
Course start as soon as the funding decision arrives, with payment subrogation where available (no upfront cost for you).

Our team handles the file from end to end: it's our job, not yours.
